Started the day with different degrees of hangover and got the special Canadian welcome
Descended from the Alm and went home across Brenner
Stopped at Garmisch-Partenkirchen for sight seeing and… …a meal of burgers
The Autobahn was blocked, fortunately only for 10 minutes
Returned the bikes with a nice enduro coating
and finished the trip with a Weisswurstfruehstueck
Enjoyed the place and the breaking day.
For me it was the first night with a Triumph – neither of us snored
Had a great breakfast, fetching rolls with the little bike included
Left the place without accident
Showed the guys where we spend our Easter
Had a coffee in Gargnano
Along Lake Garda was great – showed us how lucky we had been so far with traffic.
Got a good view from Bondone and another Spagetti
Crossed Dolomites again. This time Karersee
and beautiful Rosengarten
Spent the night on Enzianhuette in the dormitory
The day in less than 3 minutes
Started the day with a good cup of coffee.
Like most days we had breakfast in a bar with cappucino and brioce. Took a piece of motorway. This time, my coins got stuck – italian systems are always good for a laugh.
Emerged near Kaiserjaegersteig. Weather wasn’t good for fotos and Monte Bondone’s hair pins were wet, but we kept spirits up… … e.g. with Spagetti on Bondone.
The passes from Croce Domini to Dosso Alto were a treat. Some gravel, no traffic and wild scenery
Weather was bad enough to justify a stop for Campari
Spent a great evening in Michael’s place with camp fire and music.
See our day in 4:23 minutes
Started the day with a slightly overdone sunrise
Got started in time, as always and had breakfast in Dolcedo
Then we took some incredibly small roads – explicitly blocked for trucks, cars, motorbikes and bicycles!
The 350 km of motorway went OK, with some trouble at the toll station and a nice nap (I had, while the others had a coffee)
Reaching the apartment via gps took some violations like driving along pedestrian zones, but we got there.
Another long day of driving.
A long day in under 2 minutes
Now we are in a 200 sqm apartment in the heart of Padua, ready to go out.
Had a bit of a false start with 2 out of the 3 passes leading south blocked for land slides and the 3rd supposedly only open for 1 hour around noon.
So we went back to Jausiers for breakfast
Turned out nobody was working on Col de Allos, so we made it. Still had to do a completely different route from what was planned
Col de Champs was a big rough, but exactly what we like.
Had lunch before going into Gorge Daluis (excuse any wrong spelling)
Liked Gorge de Cians most and the small roads and villages
Coffee was a bit slow to come
Now we are high up on the Ligurian coast.
The day in 3:50 minutes
Started the morning by doing some dirt and gravel across Colle Finestre – one of my favourites.
When reaching Besancon, we realized John’s front tire was getting bald. Spent the most of the day finding a new one. Not easy on a Saturday in France. Some people gave us great help so we are OK, now.
Checked into our castle turned hotel for a 2 night stay and had a great French Brotzeit with all ingredients from Pastice to Creme Caramel.
